OLIMP B12 Forte Bio-Complex 30caps – is a dietary supplement containing a high dose of vitamin B12, supplemented with a composition of vitamins and minerals that have a beneficial effect on the hematopoietic system, including highly absorbable calcium and iron amino acid chelates. Vitamins B12, B6 and folic acid help maintain the proper metabolism of homocysteine. Homocysteine is a factor determining the state of the cardiovascular system. Folic acid helps in the proper production of blood, and calcium contributes to its proper clotting. Iron helps in the proper production of red blood cells and hemoglobin. Vitamin E helps protect cells against oxidative stress.

Dietary supplement intended for adults as a supplement supplementing the diet with vitamin B12, helping to maintain the proper metabolism of homocysteine, as well as supporting the proper functioning of the cardiovascular, circulatory and nervous systems.
It should be taken into account that the dietary vitamin B12 occurs in the form of a complex with proteins, which must be broken down in the gastrointestinal tract with the release of vitamin B12. If we take drugs that block the secretion of gastric acid (proton pump inhibitors) or the pH of the stomach contents is not optimal, then the release of vitamin B12 from the complex and its effective assimilation is difficult, which may lead to a deficiency of this substance in the body.
The most vulnerable to vitamin B12 deficiency are vegetarians, vegans, and athletes who are on low-calorie diets to reduce body weight. Another group at high risk of vitamin B12 deficiency in the body will be people over 50, who are no longer able to effectively absorb vitamin B12 proteins from a diet.
