SFD SODIUM BUTYRATE FORTE is a specially composed medical food in the form of tablets that provides butyric acid, which is the basic source of energy for the epithelium of the digestive tract. It belongs to a group of short-chain fatty acids that are the main source of energy for intestinal cells known as colonocytes.
Two tablets, constituting a daily dose, provide a dose of 480 mg of butyric acid with anti-inflammatory properties and supporting the functioning of the digestive system.
Role of butyric acid The main effect of butyric acid lies in its anti-inflammatory properties, resulting from its ability to inhibit the secretion of inflammatory mediators in the intestinal mucosa. In addition, butyric acid is the main energy substrate for colon cells (colonocytes), nourishes them and ensures proper functioning. What’s more, it reduces the risk of intestinal leakage, which helps to reduce allergies and inflammation.
RECOMMENDED USE
Take a portion of the product (2 tablets) once a day, during or after a meal, with water. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose (2 tablets). Use for 3 months or as directed by your doctor.
