Oil rich in fatty acids is valued for its protective properties towards the epidermis, and hair in particular. It can be used on the affected skin (lichen, mycoses, stretch marks), oily, prone to irritation, used at night instead of cream on selected parts of the body. It has a high affinity for keratin.
It has surprisingly many uses:
• in massage salons,
• in aromatherapy
• in the production of hair care preparations
• is an ingredient of shampoos, conditioners for moisturizing the skin and hair, creams and shaving creams
• it is used for the production of transparent glycerin soaps due to its foaming properties.
• it is irreplaceable in the production of soap products.
• can be used as a supplement or substitute for coconut oil or palm kernel oil.
• at a concentration of 3 – 5%, castor oil gives a generous foam
